imagesMDAENYXOThe 2nd Annual one day event, “Eat the Street” Food Festival will be held on Saturday 12th March from 12 noon to 8.00pm in Lismore.

Local and visitors alike embraced Lismore’s inaugural Eat the Street festival last year with approximately 8,000 visitors participating in the food street party.

PIC FOR BLOGThe CBD of Lismore on the North Coast will be alive with a very diverse range of food using local produce and also retail and arts encounters.

Lismore’s Magellan Street will be transformed into a ‘food and entertainment’ strip’ with the road blocked to traffic. Market stall marquees will be arranged in Magellan and Carrington Streets and the Back Alley Gallery (a feature in itself); alongside a beer garden and extra food stalls if required.

The idea of the event is for restaurants from across the region to showcase a street food-style sample of their cooking. For $5 or $10 partakers can experience foods that they may not have had the opportunity to taste before.

Why stay for only one day? After feasting, would you like to stay in a self-contained, private 4 star secluded, romantic cottage? Would you like to spend Sunday exploring the North Coast area visiting the many charming villages, calling in to a market or two and enjoying local coffee at any one of the cafes?

P1040185Then Pines on the Plateau Boutique Lodges is the answer for you. A 12 minute drive from Lismore (and 30 minutes from Byron Bay) you will discover this accommodation gem hidden behind ancient Norfolk Pines and a burgeoning rainforest and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
